Estimates & pricing

Are your estimates really free?

Yes. In-home estimates are free and there is no obligation. We measure your openings, show you real samples and leave you with a written, itemized quote. Evening and Saturday appointments are available.

How much does a new door cost?

It depends on the door type, size, glass, impact rating and how much finish work the opening needs. As a rough guide, a standard entry door installed in Central Florida often starts in the low thousands, while impact-rated patio doors and multi-slide systems run considerably more. Our door cost guide breaks down typical ranges and what drives them.

Will my quote be in writing?

Always. Your quote lists the exact product line, size, glass, hardware and finish, plus what is included in installation — removal, disposal, permit, trim, caulk and paint touch-up — so you can compare it line by line with any other quote.

Do you offer financing or discounts?

Yes. We offer financing options for qualified homeowners, and discounts for military, first responders and seniors. Ask during your estimate or see our financing page.

Do you charge for trip fees or measurements?

No. Estimates and measurements are part of the free consultation anywhere in our service area.

Products & options

What is the best door material for Florida?

For most Central Florida entry doors, fiberglass is the best all-round choice: it will not rot, rust or warp in humidity and sun, and it can look like painted or stained wood. Steel is budget-friendly and secure but can dent and rust at the bottom edge; wood is beautiful but needs regular finishing. Our materials guide compares them side by side.

Which brands do you install?

We install Florida-approved products from established manufacturers and match the line to your opening, budget and code requirements. Ask us which lines we recommend for your project — we will explain why.

Can you match my existing doors or my HOA's requirements?

Usually, yes. We can match styles, colors and glass across the house, and we will help you assemble product details for HOA architectural review when your community requires it.

Can you install a door I bought myself?

In most cases we supply and install the door so one company stands behind both the product and the installation. If you already own a door, call us — we will tell you honestly whether it meets code for your opening and whether we can install it.

Do you install interior doors too?

Yes — pre-hung and slab interior doors, barn doors, pocket doors and closet doors. Many homeowners pair an entry door project with interior door upgrades.

Impact doors & Florida code

Do I need impact-rated doors in Orlando?

Not always. Most of inland Central Florida — including most of Orlando — sits outside the wind-borne debris region, so impact glass is usually a choice rather than a code requirement. Every exterior door still has to meet the design pressure required for your home, and requirements vary by exact address and building. We confirm what applies to your home before we quote.

What is Florida Product Approval?

Exterior doors, garage doors and other products that protect the building envelope must be approved for use in Florida. Each approved product has a Florida Product Approval (FL) number, and its installation instructions — fastener type, spacing and anchoring — become part of the permit. We use only approved products and install them to those instructions.

Will impact doors lower my homeowners insurance?

They can. Florida insurers must offer discounts for qualifying wind-mitigation features, and opening protection is one of them. The credit usually depends on every opening being protected — including garage and entry doors — so talk to your agent before counting on a specific discount. We provide the product approvals and paperwork your wind-mitigation inspector will ask for.

Are impact doors more secure?

Generally, yes. Laminated impact glass is very hard to break through, and impact doors are typically built with heavier frames and multipoint locks. They are also much quieter, which many homeowners near busy roads, airports and theme parks appreciate.

Do you pull the permit?

Yes. Most exterior door replacements in Central Florida need a building permit. We prepare and submit it, include the product approval documents, and schedule the inspection. For larger jobs, Florida law may also require a recorded Notice of Commencement — we will tell you if yours does.

Installation

How long does installation take?

Most single entry doors, sliding doors and French doors are installed in one day. Doors with sidelites, double doors and anything that needs reframing may take two. Multi-slide and folding glass walls that involve structural changes can take several days.

How long until my doors arrive?

Stock interior and storm doors can be quick. Most exterior doors are made to order: expect a few weeks for many entry and patio doors and longer for impact-rated, custom-size or specialty units. We give you a realistic lead time with your quote and keep you updated.

Do you remove and haul away my old door?

Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door, frame and debris is included in every installation quote.

Will you fix the stucco, drywall and trim around the new door?

Standard trim, casing, caulking and touch-up are included. When an opening needs stucco patching, reframing or tile work, we spell that out in the quote so there are no surprises. Unrelated repairs are quoted separately.

Do I need to be home during installation?

We ask that someone is home at the start to confirm details and at the end for the walkthrough. In between, we just need access to the work area and a place to set up.

3 questions

Warranty & service

What warranty do I get?

Two layers: the manufacturer's warranty on the door itself, and our own written workmanship warranty on the installation. We register product warranties for you and explain what each one covers, how long it lasts and whether it transfers if you sell your home.

Do you repair doors?

Our focus is replacement and new installation, and we stand behind every door we install with adjustments and service. If you call about an older door, we will tell you honestly whether a repair or a replacement makes more sense.

How should I care for my new doors?

Keep sliding door tracks and weep holes clear, rinse salt and pollen off the glass and frame, lubricate locks once or twice a year, and check weatherstripping each spring before storm season. We leave you a care sheet for your specific product.
